Location: KAHALUʻU, OʻAHU, Kahalu'u Lo'i, on Hui Kēlū Street in Kahalu'u (after registration you will receive more information on directions to the site)
Time: 8:30 am - 12 noon
- No drop-ins, please RSVP to reserve your spot for free
- Parking is limited, please carpool as much as possible and park on the makai side of the street
- Light refreshments will be provided, potluck (sharing snacks) is encouraged
- Please bring a reusable water bottle & mess kit
- Covered clothing, sturdy covered shoes with grip, bug repellent, & sun and or rain protection strongly recommended.
Please join us for a community work day: Volunteers may assist with vegetation clearance, maintenance, and/or out-planting using a variety of hand and power tools depending on level of skill and the assigned tasks for the day.
Due to State requirements, we are only allowed to welcome a limited amount of volunteers, one of those volunteers must be an archaeologist to monitor work and be present in case of any inadvertent findings. To ensure we have enough volunteers, please register only if you can commit to attending for the entire time. (If you're no longer able to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so that we may contact those on the wait list).
